B&B Contracting Company History

In 1966, a forward thinking construction entrepreneur sought to fill the commercial drywall, plaster and stucco needs of the Charlotte Metro area. James K. “Pete” Brown was the principal founder of B&B Contracting Co., Inc. Incorporated in 1968, B&B Contracting focused efforts on the growth of drywall, light gauge framing, spray fireproofing of structural steel and became among the first to use synthetic stucco.

Pete Brown consistently sought new and innovative wall and ceiling products & services, earning him a reputation as a pioneer and leader in the walls and ceilings industry.  The aggressive nature and success of B&B has always been driven by the people leading the charge in every facet of the business from estimating, project management and material procurement.

Stability


Today, the legacy continues under the guidance of Rick Brown, President, and the Brown Family co-owners Ruth Brown, Chairman, Sheila B. Williams, Executive Vice President and Nikki O’Donnell, Vice President.  Because of their commitment to their patriarch’s vision, B&B remains a highly respected and stable commercial drywall company.
